Young Indigenous Women's Circle of Leadership

Now in it's eight year, Young Indigenous Women's Circle of Leadership (YIWCL) took place from July 4 to July 13, 2016, Monday through Friday, from 9am-4pm.  Read the Edmonton Journal's story about YIWCL 2016 here.

Young Indigenous Women's Circle of Leadership program is for young aboriginal women aged 10-16. Each day, participants are immersed in Cree language and cultural activities involving leadership, drama and technology. Lunch and snacks are provided. 

The incredible YIWCL team includes: Darlene Auger, Susan Sinclair and Roxanne Tootoosis as Cree Instructors; Yvonne Saddleback as the Cree Syllabics Teacher; Elder Margaret Cardinal; Bernie and Glenda Makokis as Ceremonial Teachers; Maureen Belanger as the Drama Teacher; Misty Underwood as the Fitness Instructor / Photographer; Fawn Auger as the Cook

Space in Young Indigenous Women's Circle of Leadership is very limited.  To reserve a space for your daughter, niece, or granddaughter, please fill out and submit the registration form found on the YIWCL Information Page.
